How did I start in the asian world? Well, I
gotta say, when I first watched anime, I didn't know that's what it was...It
was not until I was 13 years old that I saw Sakura Card Captors.
This anime was everything for me: I could
relate to the main character, I enjoyed watching her grow each time she faced a
difficulty, she liked a boy, (let's admit it, girls usually start falling in
love at this age) and she was always surrounded by good people and friends
(that was different from my actual situation back then but I wished I could be
the same).
So, after that, I began to look up for news,
pictures and vids about it, later on I found out that the company making this
was japanese (Madhouse for animation, Kōdansha by editorial and obviously CLAMP
for the story). I was like "Ok! this is really far away but I like
it!" Then investigating more and more I found out that this was Anime.
Because I still wanted to find out more, I encountered a comic really similar to the TV serie, well...what do you know? That was my discovery of Manga.

After that, there was no way back for me: Candy Candy, Saint Seiya, Inuyasha, Hana no Ko Run Run, Lady Oscar, Samurai X, Hellsing, Full Metal Alchemist...you name it, I'm still trying to increase my knowledge in this vast universe of manga and anime...and I have a long way to go (sigh)
So tell me, what's the anime or manga that started you in this Asian World? I'd really like to know!!!
