Hanazakari no Kimitachi e: Taiwanese drama version

Original Title: 花樣少年少女 / Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu (literally "The Tricks of Boys and Girls")

Episodes: 15 + Special
Opening theme:怎麼辦" (What Should I Do?) by S.H.E
Ending theme: "專屬天使" (Personal Angel) by Tank
Personal Appreciation: (rank 1 to 10) 6

I can’t say I didn’t enjoy this version of the manga, it almost never diverts from the original path and puts great number of funny situations…

Wu Chun (former member of Fahrenheit), was a good choice for the “Sano Izumi”part (in this version Zuo Yi Quan), you can always get close-ups of this bare torso (fanservice for the ladies!!!) and he has this way of looking at Ella in the romantic scenes that just enchants you. He played the part well by being the bad boy at first and then slowly melting by Rui Xi’s actions.

Ella Chen (member of S.H.E., on March of 2012 she released her first Mini Album as solist) shows us an amazing transformation by going “all boy” in this drama. Her hair was different, her eyebrows, I even dare to say they put false facial hair for some scenes. She also tries to keep her voice low although sometimes the character (Lu Rui Xi) just forgets about it.

Jiro Wang (member of Fahrenheit) is the guy who makes us smile even if we don’t want to. With his comical appearances he truly sticks to the original role of Nataksu Shuichi (Jin Xiu Yi in this version).

The drama was good, the scenes were good, the dialogues were good, the OST was amazing, I personally really liked it and have it on my MP3 player. Everything was going smoothly here, they even took the work of doing the “onsen scene” and the “Sakura Committee” (called the Iron Man Society in this version)…so why do I have such a low ranking for this version? Because of the final chapter…Don't even get your hopes up with the "special episode", it's just a recopilation of a lot of behind the scenes parts.

I ain’t going to tell you what happens, but I can tell you is the utmost disappointing finale I’ve ever seen. To watch such an amazing drama just to get that at the end? Come on!!! I tried to find out if they wanted to do a different finale froma the manga and blew it or if the budget run low and they did it in a rush but there’s nowhere to find news like that, someday I’ll have to learn mandarin.

Even though, I highly recommend it, you won’t regret watching it, you’ll fall in love with the songs and the characters, you'll laugh and cry and if this is going to be your first taiwanese drama, is a great choice.
