Evangelion 3.0: You Can [Not] Redo

It's been a looooong time...I was told that this OVA was coming out on May and we are November people! But hey, they days are passing and we are closer and closer to finally see the penultimate part of Evangelion.

Compared to the actual series, this OVA's have gone beyond our imaginations with their high quality visual effects and the music. The end of "You Are [Not] Advanced" was just a mental ecstasy for whomever watched from beginning to end with utmost attention. Let's sit tight and wait for the 17th. Only 3 more days!

Big Bang in Lima

After so much time of waiting, they're finally here. You wouldn't believe how much uproar the guys have caused among the peruvian girls. Most of them, have been camping outside the concert place for a week or more. Yesterday, they followed them from the airport to the Westin Hotel and began singing and dancing waiting to see one of them from the balcony.

Well, the wait is over, tonight at 8pm we will finally have them performing for us in a concert that we hope, will blow our minds.

Big Bang in Peru! Welcome!

Personal Apreciation: (please be aware of some spoilers)
Rank:  (from 1 to 10) 9

Usually girls who reads Shoujo don’t like the “fighting mangas” (or at least the ones I’ve known) but for me is completely different, if it’s good, bring it on!!! I encountered this manga after I saw the anime in Cartoon Network, I happened to watch it just because I was bored and there wasn’t anything else in the TV, but after half an hour I was eager for more.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e: Last review

Well, it’s been fun going through this again, and I don’t know if this happens to you, but when I look up for some drama song of chapter just to be sure of something that I want to say, I can’t help but watching the whole drama all over again.

Now, there’s an interesting fact here, in Japan, there are two versions of Hana Kimi…yes, yes, I know I put only one, but this one I really didn’t like. But who am I to judge? Maybe some of you have watched it and can tell me I’m wrong. This version is called the same, in this case, the only difference is the year in the last part (Ikemen☆Paradise~2011), it didn’t have good ratings and when I saw the first chapter I didn’t enjoy the scenery, the characters or the music. If anyone can tell me I should give this version a chance, please let me know so I can try to watch it again.

The weird thing is that even though this manga was taken to three different versions (ok, four) of TV Drama, it doesn’t have an anime! Can you believe that? I really don’t know why and I’m still waiting to see it even if I am a 90 year on lady, I’d still watch it!

Thank you very much for your comments; soon I’ll be posting another good manga that was made into anime or drama. Ya-ne!

Korean drama, what can I say? I love Korean dramas, I started watching them before I knew about Korea (All About Eve, A Wish Upon the Stars, Stairway to Heaven) and when I found out about the making of the Korean version of one of my favorite mangas, I just screamed.

Japanese drama, I’m more related to this. I’m even familiar with the characters because of the previous drama I saw (Hana Yori Dango), but I’ll leave that for later. Now, let’s focus on Hana Kimi.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e: Manga

Released:
        1996
Author(s):          Nakajo Hisaya
Genre(s):            Comedy, Drama, Gender Bender, Romance, School Life, Shoujo
Plot:
Mizuki Ashiya is a japanese girl living in USA, she doesn't have friends and her school life is difficult even though she is really love by both of her parents and really doted on by her older brother. However, one afternoon her life changed. She turned on the TV and saw a japanese boy performing a beautiful high jump, his name was Izumi Sano. Completely mesmerized by him, Ashiya inmediately became his fan and started to look up every information she could; Sano's words and actions encouraged her day by day. Now Ashiya has friends, but she stil wants to meet her idol. She discovers Sano is attending Osaka High School and decides to enroll...the only problem? It's an all-boys school.

Ashiya convinces her parents that she can go to Japan alone and after a long fight, she got what she wanted (obviously, her parents knew nothing about the gender of the school). With her best friend's help (Julia) she disguises as a boy and enroll into the school only to find out that her idol is far from the image she had made in her head and even worse! He is no longer jumping.

What happened to Sano that he doesn't high jump anymore? Will Ashiya be able to help him? Will she be discovered? Trust me, this is a manga you won't regret reading.

Personal Appreciation (please be aware of some spoilers):

Mangas that were made into anime or dramas

I have read a lot of mangas, perhaps not as many as I’d like, but I’ve been doing my best taking time between work and college. So, there are some mangas I’ve read that at some point I find myself thinking “Please, let this manga reach the anime and drama stage” and I know more that one of you must have think the same thing.

There are just so many good mangas out there that deserve more than to be in just paper, there are sometimes we are lucky to find Drama CD’s and that ease the urge a bit, but the excitement of watching one of your favorite mangas in an anime, or better yet, a drama, is just so amazing that one can hardly keep oneself from screaming.

This week I’ll start with some of my favorites and then maybe I’ll began to post the ones that are still in the waiting list, sitting tight for the chance to be made into something even better.

Let’s start!

First Line from left to right: Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, Sailor Moon, YuYu Hakusho, Kuroshitsuji
Second line from left to right: Samurai X, Card Captor Sakura, Inuyasha, Hana Yori Dango

How I started...

Hey there, I'm just writing my first entry on this blog.
How did I start in the asian world? Well, I gotta say, when I first watched anime, I didn't know that's what it was...It was not until I was 13 years old that I saw Sakura Card Captors.

This anime was everything for me: I could relate to the main character, I enjoyed watching her grow each time she faced a difficulty, she liked a boy, (let's admit it, girls usually start falling in love at this age) and she was always surrounded by good people and friends (that was different from my actual situation back then but I wished I could be the same).
